What is AI visibility?

How does this checker work?

We read your homepage to work out your business name, niche and location (you can fix anything that's off), then generate five realistic buyer-intent questions and ask ChatGPT and Claude each one with live web search on — reading the answers to see whether you're named, whether they link to your site, and who your competitors are.

What's the difference between being mentioned and being cited?

Being mentioned means AI says your business name. Being cited means AI links to your own website. You can be named without a link — which is why we report the two separately: a name builds awareness, but the link is what actually sends customers to you.

ChatGPT (GPT-5.6 Luna) and Claude, both with live web search. It's a fast free snapshot — it does not include Gemini, Perplexity or Google's AI Overviews, so treat the score as directional, not the whole picture.

AI answer engines lean on sources the web already trusts — strong pages, consistent citations across directories and reviews, and clear, well-structured content about what you do and where. If those signals are thin, AI has nothing to pull your site from.
